Join our Building and Environmental Health Unit in a permanent full-time role, offering a great opportunity to contribute to our Onsite Sewage Management program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and standards for Onsite Sewage Management Systems, overseeing their design, construction, operation, maintenance, and monitoring. You will serve as a key point of contact, engaging with the public, contractors, and stakeholders, addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding Onsite Sewage Management, and fostering effective communication
About the role:- provide pre-lodgement advice in relation to various septic applications
- conduct site inspections and evaluate performance of existing Onsite Sewage Management Systems
- respond to complaints and conduct investigations into potential breaches of environmental and health regulations and standards
- prepare and maintain digitalised records and reports
- a base salary ranging from $69,952 per annum with competency-based increments up to $82,126 per annum, plus 11% super
- 70 hour, 9 day fortnight

- minimum trade qualification such as plumbing, or equivalent experience in OSSM or a related field
- knowledge of plumbing and drainage principles and best practice operation and maintenance

- competence in the use of computer systems
