The Brand Manager’s role is to expand the presence of Viktoria & Woods across the local and International markets through current wholesale networks as well as growing new channels in both domestic and international markets. This position is responsible for determining key relationships and opportunities to push the brand as a leader in the Australian fashion industry, as well as introducing the brand in a holistic way to an International audience. Increase brand awareness across new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow the international wholesale business.
- Review retailers within international markets to determine where the focus for sales should be within Europe, Asia, North and South America and the Middle East.
- Determine which stockists are aspirational retailers to partner with and create a realistic strategy to join these retailers.
- Regularly review boutique and large format store opportunities for Viktoria & Woods to enter into within the domestic and international markets
- Explore opportunities for further sales growth within current stockists, including providing a wider offering of product for wholesale purchase.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with current and potential wholesale stakeholders and stockists
- Drive a collection that meets the international markets needs.
- Motivate, inspire and train wholesale agents each season to ensure optimal customer experience for each collection sell.
- Help manage critical path with design, merchandising and marketing teams to ensure wholesale dates and appropriate assets are achieved through open and regular communication.
- Ensure collection handover to agents is thorough, informative and aspirational and all sales assets are provided on time.
- Continual review of wholesale sales terms to maximize sales opportunity for Viktoria & Woods. Re-negotiate terms where required.
- Ensure correct product placement / store positioning within current stockists ensuring Viktoria & Woods is placed in the idyllic department location.
- Report on seasonal performance and ensure the brand is responding to customer needs
- Manage wholesale shipping and logistics
- Asset and sample management
- Participate in branding opportunities as appropriate to ensure brand awareness in the international market and to increase sales.
- Fashion Business, Business or Commerce Degree highly regarded
- 5+ years’ experience with a sales environment within the Fashion industry.
- Prior wholesale experience highly desirable.
- A developed network of national and international stockist connections highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the international market and its retailers, both physical and online.
- Strong Microsoft Office experience.
