About the Role:
Primo Foods has an exciting opportunity for a Brand Manager to join our team. This is a unique role for an energised & passionate Marketer to join the team! Innovation is a critical pillar to the growth trajectory of Primo Foods.
In 2019, we successfully launched our Primo Snacks into the Chilled cheese category, launching with 3 skus and expanding over time to an extensive range of 29 skus. In doing so, we doubled the size of the category and became the brand leader with innovation that better met consumer needs. As we look to continue this growth into the future, we are looking for a Brand Manager to work closely with the Marketing Manager and the wider cross-functional team to continue to accelerate our growth in snacking, profitably. Working closely with the marketing manager, you will lead the entire brand mix and have ownership & delivery of ideation to commercialisation across the snacking portfolio. With communication and innovation as key parts of the growth strategy, you will also help to drive creative development, media strategy, packaging design and helping to build category strategy and customer engagement.
Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the marketing manager to develop annual plans and longer-term planning for the snacking business. This role will be accountable for delivery of Primo growth & profitability
  • Collaborate with customer & category teams to deliver growth plans for our retail partners
  • Development of a 3-year pipeline of compelling consumer innovation
  • Interrogate data sources to unlock opportunity through deep understanding of consumer behaviour and needs
  • Champion consumer trends and insights across the marketing and sales functions. Provide analysis of emerging global trends, opportunity spaces and technologies which can help fuel the innovation funnel
  • Develop hypothesis based on research interpretation, and using research and data insights provide meaningful input to decision making
  • Be the commercial lead for key innovation projects ensuring projects from ideation, through to launch and post launch
  • Provide commercial and marketing leadership through key innovation processes ensuring adherence to Stage Gate and Integrated Business Planning cycles
  • Develop compelling & distinctive communication for new innovation that leverages our Primo Master Brand big idea
  • Work closely with media to deliver best in class mass reaching integrated launch campaigns across
  • Brief and manage end to end packaging design and delivery for all NPD
  • Lead and motivate cross functional teams to develop best in class go to market plans across the mix, collaborating with sales, category, finance, shopper and operations
About you:
  • Team player committed to fostering a culture where others are valued, heard and supported.
  • You will have strong engagement & collaboration style, with a strong ability to influence & communicate effectively with our customers & within the business.
  • Good commercial acumen with an understanding of what drives the P&L & analytical skills using scan data and other reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Commerce
  • 3-5 years FMCG industry experience in food or beverage highly preferred.
  • Hands on experience delivering local marketing & innovation.
  • Experience with developing and landing initiatives from concept to market execution.
  • Experience in crafting local marketing campaigns (social, digital and e-comm).
  • Experience in developing insights from consumer research and data analysis.
