Position Overview:
As a Building Consultant, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating building claims, providing expert advice on construction and repair methodologies, and ensuring that clients receive accurate and fair settlements. Your extensive knowledge in building construction and insurance will be pivotal in managing complex claims and delivering top-tier consulting services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of damaged properties to determine the extent of loss and necessary repairs.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining the scope of work, cost estimates, and repair methodologies.
• Collaborate with adjusters, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate claim evaluations and settlements.
• Provide expert testimony and support in claim disputes and litigation cases.
• Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and insurance regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all assessments.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants and team members.
• Assist in developing and improving internal processes and standards for building consulting services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a trade related field.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in building consulting, construction, or a related field, preferably within the insurance industry.
• In-depth knowledge of building construction practices, materials, and codes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare accurate and detailed reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
