Golden Group is a large successful WA owned and operated Property Developer. Currently underway is the mega development project at Burswood Point.
The company is seeking the services of a Building Estimator.
About the role:
The successful candidate must have relevant quantity surveying experience of at least 5 years working in high rise building of property development/construction.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up systems and procedures and monitoring for cost and tender, PO (Purchase Order), payments, VO (Variation Order) claims.
- Prepare construction budget use for Feasibility Study.
- Prepare Bill of Quantity including Bill of Material for tender packages and Supply By Order (SBO) materials for Infra, External Works, Architects, Civil Structure, MEP/AC, Interior and FFE, etc.
- Prepare cost estimate for each work packages and SBO materials.
- Control, collaborate, supervise and coordinate with QS/Estimator/Contract consultants
- Prepare contracts and POs.
- Review, check and evaluate contractors' monthly work progress, interim certificates, variation claims and payments.
- Searching procurement suppliers, tendering and executing order for SBO materials.
- Monitoring and controlling SBO status.
- Prepare monthly project reports for cash flow, progress vs payment status etc.
- Maintain project filing systems, including correspondences, drawings, payments, variation claims, monthly reports etc.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with extensive experience in High rise building, Land Subdivision, Commercial, Retail or Residential projects
- Proven experience managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of contract administration and procurement strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a team, and ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills
- High attention to detail and data processing accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize a diverse range of tasks.
- Local Australian experience, WA preferred.
