About the OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has become available within Council for an experienced Building Maintenance Tradesperson to join the Parks & Gardens Department. The position is primarily responsible for undertaking construction, maintenance, repairs and inspection of Council owned buildings, facilities and amenities. The position carries out a large amount of vandalism repairs to Council owned infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is an all rounder when it comes to welding/carpentry/building work. Applicants with a trade qualified background in welding/fabrication/carpentry/building are preferred however applicants with industry experience and qualifications in a related field will be considered. Applicants must hold a current class C drivers licence and general construction induction card (white card). The successful applicant will have a positive, can do work attitude with the ability to work autonomously within a small team environment and demonstrate the ability to take initiative on daily tasks.
Position Details- $1,266.00pw plus 11% Superannuation
- 38 Hour week with RDO every fortnight (7am to 4pm and during summer 6:30am to 3:30pm)
- Employment conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
