Join a local council in the northern suburbs in this contractedposition on a full-time basis. This role is for a Bushland Officerto provide services to the community and maintaining the communities bushland.
Your day to day will involve;
- Support on-site preparation, weed control, and maintenance activities conducted by the Bushland Unit, collaborating with various community, and school groups.
- Clear rubbish from parks and reserves.
- Provide demonstrations of planting techniques to school and community groups.
- Maintain accurate records, including timesheets and planting databases.
- Trim shrubs and the lower canopy of trees in semi-natural areas.
- Aid in the establishment of indigenous vegetation.
To be successful you will have;
- Certificatation in Natural Resource Management or related
- Two years’ experience on urban revegetation/ regeneration projects
- Ability to operate four wheel drive vehicle.
- Current Australian drivers licence.
