Business Administration Officer - Oncology Research

• Salary $75,430 - $79,070 p.a. (pro rata) ASO4 | Full Time, Until May 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Business Administration Officer to join our Oncology Team.

The Oncology Trials Business Administration Officer supports the Oncology Clinical Trials Unit in the leadership and management of the financial resources within the Clinical Trials Unit.

About the Role:

As the Business Administration Officer for Oncology Research, your duties may include: 

• Supplying financial and non-financial data and information to enable the Director of Research / Research Unit Manager to support the Trials Unit
• Providing support to Clinical Trials Team in ensuring revenue and expenses are allocated correctly, including journals, accruals, requisitions and invoicing;
• Supporting the Research Unit on procurement, fleet management, workforce and activities to support daily operation of the Research Unit; and
• Delivering support in implementing finance policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

• Experience in the preparation of financial management, preparing journals, undertaking financial analysis, and providing concise written financial reports.
• Skills in analysing and interpreting data, communicating information accurately, in either verbal or written format to accommodate the key stakeholder audience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders on a range of sensitive and complex issues to achieve positive outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in developing budgets including the development of savings initiatives to operate within budget allocations.
