Your opportunity
This is a challenging, fast paced and rewarding role. As the Business Administration Officer, you will coordinate the administrative processes, data management and business unit reporting, undertake supervisory functions to a small team of Business Support Officers, and provide executive support to the Service Manager of Waste Operations to provide a quality and efficient administration service for the City Waste Business Unit.
Guided by our Values, you will:
- Be working in a small and highly motivated team of eight, who collectively contribute to the delivery of Council's waste and resource recovery activities.
- Have intermediate or higher experience with finance and Business Administration systems and processes.
- Provide mentoring, leadership, supervision and assistance to other administration staff while working as a team to ensure consistency and a high standard of administrative service delivery.
- Coordinate all external correspondence and customer requests through Councils customer request management system (Property and Rating), EDRMS (Objective) and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ensure all rating and billing information for waste services is maintained to meet internal deadlines and customer service standards.
- Be responsible for managing a very busy financial workflow through Council’s CiAnywhere Finance and waste management system.
