Our client, a globally recognised leader in the mining sector, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to work across a spatial uplift project and a mine planning data integrity project. This is an exciting 6+6 month contracting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and high-performing team, based in Brisbane.
The Role:
As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in interpreting and documenting business processes focusing specifically on tasks related to Spatial and Mine Planning Systems, working closely with stakeholders to coordinate workshops, mitigate risks, and ensure efficient planning.
Spatial Uplift Project:
- Seeking to enhance, improve access and integrate geospatial data vendor application simplification whilst maintaining data access, validation and integrity.
- Investing in uplift governance, risk and compliance tools and systems to mitigate risks and improve planning assumption operations and reduce manual entry.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping, gathering essential information to form comprehensive requirements and facilitating workshops.
- Develop risk registers and identify controls and actions for risk mitigation.
- Document business requirements, articulate customer needs in agile ceremonies and develop project documentation adhering to the Agile Project Management Framework.
- Assist in the development of resource estimates, schedules, and business benefits for Investment Approval Requests (IAR) and business cases.
- Coordinate Transition to Operations (TTO) planning and assist with vendor management tasks.
- Support the Project Manager in creating project status reports and stakeholder communication materials.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the mining or resource industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
