We are currently seeking a skilled Business Analyst to supplement an existing team supporting the enhancement and development of business intelligence solutions.
Specificall you will:
Facilitating meetings with business users to elicit detailed requirements
Liaise with technical staff to identify and investigate data sources
Undertake business process and data modelling/mapping
Understanding online resource discovery and associated metadata schemas.
Understanding Library’s processes and workflows.
Undertake problem investigation to identify root causes and develop actionable solutions
Undertake and/or participate in Regression, Systems and User Acceptance testing activities
Be selfdirected, working under limited supervision, and reporting to the Technical Team Leader and Project Manager on activities status and issues as necessary.
Communicating and working productively with technical and nontechnical staff
The following are the detailed requirements for the role:
Experience working in a small multi-faceted team developing business solutions, with appreciation of the activities, roles and responsibilities across the entire systems development lifecycle.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with:
experience writing for a variety of audiences and purposes;
experience liaising with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating workshops and eliciting business requirements;
Experience in business analysis and product design, with an appreciation of user interface considerations
Experience undertaking solution testing activities to ensure quality outcomes;
Highly developed problem solving and investigative skills in a technical environment;
Self-directed, working under limited supervision within a small team, reporting to the Technical Team Leader and Project Manager on activities status and issues as necessary
Desirable
Experience in business intelligence/ data warehouse solutions.
Experience in data analysis, modelling and design
Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools
