Business Analyst 

  • Role type: Permanent / Ongoing role

  • Salary: DCS Grade 7/8, base salary starting at $ 106,025  plus 10.5% superannuation and leave loading

We are looking for a candidate to join the Digital Platform Operation team to support the delivery of product and services that align with the business strategic direction. This role will require a Business Analyst who is able to drive consistencies in project delivery practices and support a variety of teams in GTP with delivering customer centric technical solutions. 

You will be responsible for leading requirement gathering, implementing business analysis best practices and consistencies across systems and support the delivery of our products and services. 

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Business Analyst 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

  • Previous experience in project and platform support within a digital/ICT environment

  • Experience in developing technical document to support product delivery and maintanence.

  • Experience working in an agile environment.

  • Ability to work between Service Desk and business.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, excel and Power point as well as experience in JIRA and Confluence 

About the role:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Business Analysis, this position will work closely with Government Technology Platforms, Business Analysts and Project Mangers, to deliver projects and outcomes on behalf of clients.

The Business Analyst will contribute and support end-to-end business processes and requirements to ensure delivery of optimal customer experience. 

The role will analyse and document business needs and support the development in our core and common digital platforms.

We are looking for multiple roles to support the work within Government Technology Platforms (GTP). 

Key responsibilities:

The Principal Business Analyst will be required to perform the following task activities across Government Technology Platforms (GTP):

  • Identify, analyse and document business processes, technical functions and user stories (requirements) to enhance business systems using best practice methodology and industry recognised processes, practices and systems, assisting others to decide on best approach.

  • Investigates problems, analyse options and provides recommendations for new and existing services, new initiatives, strategies and products to improve compliance, effectiveness and address risks.

  • Monitor and report on initiatives, strategies and compliance products to improve the effectiveness of processes and products.

  • Identify, analyse, manage and monitors relationships with and between stakeholders, engaging with users and stakeholders to collate needs and defines research which fits needs.

  • Ensure comprehensive documentation is produced such as business and functional requirements, technical/ interface designs, business process models, user stories/ requirements and user case scenarios to industry guidelines as appropriate for the business needs.

  • Contribute to the development of the BA Chapter and knowledge management.

Salary Grade 07/08, with the base salary for this role starting at $106,025 base plus superannuation
