Business Analyst Finance (Cairns)

Tell me more...The purpose of the Business Analyst role is to provide expert support to portfolio senior managers on all aspects of finance including, budgeting, forecasting and asset management across Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the application of financial legislation, accounting standards and policies, with direct knowledge of or proven ability to apply those relevant to the public sector.
• High level knowledge of management accounting tasks and principles including the monitoring and analysis of budgets, forecasting, and development of budgets
• High level communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills including the ability to interact effectively with senior personnel and maintain positive and effective relationships with senior clients.

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor of Business in Accounting, Commerce, or Master's equivalent is mandatory for this position.
• It is a mandatory condition of employment in this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) hepatitis B.
