Form of workRole Overview: As a Business Analyst – Investment Finance, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Team through the transition of its investment portfolio. You will be responsible for documenting processes, procedures, and reporting requirements necessitated by this transition. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement will be key as you ensure adherence to the transition plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in transition plan discussions between our client and its investment advice partners.
- Utilize your accounting subject matter expertise to assess current investment processes, procedures, and reports, creating impact assessments for identified areas within the Finance team.
- Deliver finance requirements based on impact assessments, facilitating finance stakeholders' review and sign-off.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, acting as a bridge between the BAU finance team and the investment transition team.
- Ensure timely delivery of required analysis and information, adhering to all timelines and company standards.
- Tertiary qualification or related Bachelor’s degree completed (Finance/Accounting) with strong financial accounting and finance process knowledge.
- Understanding of investment accounting, portfolios, and associated reporting.
- Business analysis skills including requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experience working in hybrid software development environments and team activities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality output.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with Sun System Financials.
- Knowledge of investments within APRA regulations and the insurance industry.
- Prior exposure to the Private Health Insurance industry.
