The Opportunity

The primary objective of the Business Analyst is to gather, analyse and document comprehensive requirements for key areas within the project division. You will work alongside a team of other Business Analysts and software engineers to analyse data; and validate, deliver and develop reports to establish a baseline for implementation for our client.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for requirements gathering and analysis.
• You will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements in a clear and concise manner, using techniques such as user stories, use cases, and process flows.
• Develop and present analysis reports for each area, including findings, recommendations, and potential impacts on the organisation.
• Develop reports outlining the validation process and confirming stakeholder alignment and ensuring that any recommendations solutions meet the business needs.
• Contribute to ensuring that the requirements meet the specified business needs. This may include creating test plans, development of functional and user acceptance test plans.
• Develop documentation of integration requirements and configurations to inform client input into project scoping studies.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, enhance system functionality, and optimise business operations. This may involve gathering feedback from stakeholders and proposing enhancements or changes to existing software solutions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Proven experience and/or qualifications as a Business Analyst with a focus on process improvement and software solutions.
• Current Defence Security Clearance (Baseline, or higher)
• Experienced in the use of MS Office products, business process tools and complex applications.
• Experience in creation of flow and logic diagrams.

Desirable

• Experience working in a Defence network/systems environment.

General

• Analytical Skills: Proficient in dissecting complex problems and extracting insights from data.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey complex information to stakeholders effectively.
• Data Analysis: Skilled in collecting, cleaning, and analysing data to identify trends and insights.
• Project Management:Â Proficiency in ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget.
• Process Modelling: Capable of creating visual models of processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Knowledge of Process Management Methodologies: Familiarity with methodologies like Six Sigma for process optimisation.
