Key role within the Australian Supermarkets Finance team

The Opportunity
Due to an internal secondment we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst (FTC till December 2015) to join our Supermarkets Operations Finance team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the stock loss leadership team, delivering valuable, actionable insights into stock loss trends and potential opportunities for Woolworths Supermarkets.
What you'll do
Partner closely with the Loss leadership team to analyse data, advise on initiatives and assess returns that generates stockloss improvement in stores
Provide insightful analysis, clear weekly commentary and actionable insights on a department and state basis
Support and partner with finance teams and our stakeholders with weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and analysis
Support and lead across key processes including the monthly forecast, annual operating plan and tracking key initiatives
Support on ad hoc analysis as required and engage with our wider stakeholders to drive actionable insights and plans.
Identify and implement opportunities that improve processes across the broader Food Group Finance Team.
What you'll bring
You will ideally have had Multinational FMCG experience and supported teams across national retail.
CA / CPA Qualification preferred
You are a true business partner with proven ability and able to communicate with impact, an analytical mindset and able to problem solve effectively
You are able to multi-task and work on multiple ongoing projects in an agile working environment
Previous experience in budgeting, reporting and analysis preferred
Experience in using data, analytics and visualisation tools to drive business decisions
Strong systems experience (SAP and Business Objects preferred), advanced financial modelling skills and experience with SQL, GCP and Tableau are preferred.
