This large insurance company is working through multiple programs and require a Senior Business Analyst for support of these modernisation projects.
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the business for a successful transformation by conducting the process mapping, data mapping, data analysis, gathering business requirements and engaging with different stakeholders. You will be engage with an impressive range of senior stakeholders in an agile delivery environment.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the insurance space and skills around insurance products, excellent core business analysis skills, a minimum of 5 years of experience in large corporate environments, and exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
An emphasis on knowing insurance is of importance for this ideal candidate, as well as understanding policy and claims. Any knowledge on cloud migrations, re-platforming, or any other large transformation experience will be prioritised. The client is looking for candidates who are more tech leaning rather than business facing, however both are of importance.
What you will do
- Act as the main bridge between IT and business stakeholders; collaborate with the business to evaluate business needs and create specifications for any modifications or additions to technology applications and/or business procedures
- Collaborate with team members to streamline the team's backlog by prioritising, estimating, and making informed decisions
- Perform data analysis, data mapping, and data cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Develop process maps to identify gaps and areas for improvement in the lending asset migration process
- Engage with different stakeholders including different business units, IT teams, and vendors
- Meet with stakeholders and read through previous documentation to understand the business requirements and write documentation for the business
- Help out other BAs and employees who need assistance outside of the immediate team.
What you will have done
- Experience in the insurance space is essential, with a particular focus on any migration and modernisation (moving platforms to the cloud, increasing efficiency) experience.
- There is an interest in seeing candidates with Guidewire experience although it is not mandatory. As well as candidates who have worked with claims documents previously.
- Experience across large transformations in the insurance/finance space (min. 5+ years), ideally with exposure to large migration and/or modernisation projects.
- Strong data migration/analysis and data mapping skills around insurance products.
- Excellent Business Analyst skill set including requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
