AddressOur client is a global aviation training business with headquarters based in Tullamarine. They provide various aviation pilot training and accreditation offerings, across a range of flight simulators, cabin crew training equipment, computer-based training and classrooms.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Business Analyst will provide business analysis and insight into financial drivers, activity margin analysis as well as insight into performance of the functions of the business. The role will also focus on supporting global simulator operations by developing, accessing and interpreting data for decision making, as well as working with management on process improvement to develop efficiency and productivity improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop financial models, scenario analyses, sensitivity analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, and write business cases.
- Support global simulator operations by developing, accessing and interpreting data for decision making.
- Work with management on process improvement to develop efficiency and productivity improvements.
- Assist in pricing of new business opportunities both domestic and internationally.
- Collaborate with operational stakeholders across compliance, sim operations and the flight training department.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate business insights to stakeholders.
- Power BI implementation.
- Possess a graduate qualification – preferably Business, Commerce, Economics with at least 5 years’ experience in a business analytical role;
- Qualified accountant, CA / CPA – preferred but not essential
- High level capability with excel and data system extraction and analysis;
- Experience implementing and utilizing Power BI;
- Experience in providing business analysis advice in a capital-intensive business;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail;
- Ability to understand, arrange efficiently and decipher data into business insights;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
