As a Business Analyst in our newly formed Business Excellence team, you'll delve into diverse projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimisation and growth. You'll leverage your analytical skills to interpret data trends, develop impactful recommendations, and drive implementation strategies. This is truly a most exciting time to join our team as we commence a new Strategic Plan from 1st July 2024!
The Uniting Church in Australia (the Church) is a large uniquely Australian Christian denomination in Australia with heritage from historical reformed evangelical denominations. In Queensland, the Uniting Church has around 250 congregations and has schools, colleges and large community services (such as UnitingCare Queensland and Wesley Mission Queensland).
What do we need you to do?
- Assist in the development of continuous improvement program and processes improvement plans to improve and ease implementation of business processes and quality standards.
- Assist in the development and update of methodologies and tools for process mapping, analyses, and redesign.
- Optimise process interconnection, automation and integration through applicable tools automate key business processes in coordination with process owners and IT.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and streamline operations, driving overall efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and report progress of business improvement and identify lessons learned.
- Support business units with SME attendance in project meetings and assist in completing allocated actions on behalf of business units.
- Identify sources of data, ensure data accuracy and conduct complex analysis.
- Model the values of the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod in day to day work including interactions with managers, lay staff, ministry agents, clients and stakeholders.
- Compliance with Queensland Synod policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
- Comply with Health and Safety directions and Public Health directions.
- Undertake other duties as and when directed within the scope of the role and the capabilities of the incumbent.
Selection criteria:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, or a related field
Experience and skills:
- Demonstrated ability to document business architecture elements, capture business requirements and produce user-friendly process maps, user guides and job aids.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and work collaboratively within and across teams.
- Demonstrated facilitation, analytical and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
