About the Role
Based at our global headquarters in Adelaide, this position reports to the General Manager Projects and is responsible for supporting and coordinating planning activities aligned with corporate and Project Function delivery objectives. Accountable for delivering key improvement initiatives and ensuring the projects community has access to all relevant information, systems, and SME support.
Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Coordinating inputs and preparing the monthly ExCom/Board reports.
- Leading the delivery of various Projects Function improvement initiatives such as implementation of new tools and automation of reporting.
- Acting as a key interface for enquiries and support requests from other parts of the business, ensuring activities are screened, delegated and tracked appropriately as required.
- Supporting Project Assurance and Deep Dive reviews as required, including leading reviews and providing discipline review support.
- Coordinating the update of Key Project Management SMS documents.
- Maintenance of the projects SharePoint site
- Coordinating the various Communities of Practice activities such as Project Management and Project Controls forums.
- Coordinating the follow up of corporate initiatives.
- Other analysis and reporting as required by the General Manager Projects including various presentations and EVP analysis/support.
About You
We are seeking a professional with the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, business, construction management or a related field. Tertiary PM qualifications is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in the oil and gas industry, in a Project Management environment is desirable.
- Experience in and capability to work in complex commercial and large organisational structures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
- High attention to detail.
- Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure, handle competing priorities, meet deadlines and bring tasks to completion.
- Strong technical competencies in Microsoft office suite.
- Experience in PowerBI and some exposure to major capital projects are desirable.
