Find a career that matters and lasts
As the Business Architect, you will provide Business Architecture services to implement strategy, improve business efficiency and agility and be instrumental in building a knowledge base which forms the fabric of innovation and decision making within the organisation.
Specifically, you will:
- Develop and maintain Business Architecture artefacts and data including blueprints, models, roadmaps and other artefacts or oversee the production and implementation of architecture solutions and operating models.
- Co-design and assure Business Architecture artefacts and business process models produced by third parties.
- Develop and maintain Business Architectural artefacts, such as capability models, value chains and business object data and their relationships that can be used by the business and projects to understand and analyse the business.
- Provide input and assurance of enterprise architecture artefacts including strategies, position papers and direction statements.
- Work with the Senior Business Architect as well as solution and technical architecture representatives to define current, transition, and target state architectures in line with architecture principles, enterprise and IT strategies and enterprise priorities.

Based in Brisbane, you will be joining the Strategic Architecture, Engagement & Assurance team within the Business IT & Digital Delivery group. This team thrives on a culture of high performance, where each member’s dedication to excellence is complemented by a strong emphasis on collaboration, ultimately fostering a dynamic and achievement-oriented environment.
Your expertise
- Degree level qualification in a related discipline to this role, or a lesser qualification coupled with relevant experience.
- Evidence of completion of training within Business Architecture discipline delivered by a recognised organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in a Business Architecture or adjacent role developing architectural artefacts and maintaining business concept data involving enterprise models such as capability models, value chains and service model blueprints.
We’d also love you to have:
- Recent experience utilising Business Architectural disciplinary techniques to facilitate changes in some or all of the following: operating model, organisation structure, roles, service design, business process, data and business systems.
- Certification or eligibility to gain certification as a Certified Business Architect within the Business Architecture Guild.
- Enterprise Architecture Certification (e.g.TOGAF) or actively progressing towards this certification.
