Business Development Campaign Partnerships Consultant

Universal Media Co is expanding its media assets needs a new team member for this exciting, new, heavily-digital role.  If you are as passionate as we are about opening doors and performing marketing diagnostics for customers, this role gets you talking to some extraordinary Australian businesses. 

The Work

If you love hunting new business and dealing with decision-makers then this is the role offers plenty of scope and reward.  You’ll source your own business leads through research, networking or leveraging your existing network, then develop relationships with key stakeholders to help them find value-driven solutions to their marketing needs.  Having worked in marketing for some time, you know how to create programs that offer a 360-degree marketing solution that touch everyone in the purchase funnel – from end-users to influencers. 

In this role you will be...

  • Researching, identifying and securing new leads, developing new business every single week.
  • Opening doors and starting business relationships.
  • Performing a Business Needs Analysis or Diagnosis for each client. 
  • Using your commercial smarts to develop ‘out of the box’ bespoke opportunities for key customers.
  • Maintain a weekly WIP and forecast for report directly to the Publisher (in Hub Spot).
  • As each relationship evolves, you will work to maintain connection and increase the investment of clients, by identifying new opportunities to serve them and deliver growth.
  • Ensuring media inventory is sold by deadline, and optimised to achieve maximum revenues for the company.
  • Preparing and presenting effective sales presentations which will help to develop and manage relationships with key client groups to secure long teUniversal Media Co is expanding its media assets needs a new team member for this exciting, new, heavily-digital role.rm income streams.

  • Understand a Client-focused approach – You will know how to organize a week around Client meetings as a priority.
  • Have a proven track record of sales success with Small & Medium Sized Enterprises – They comprise 70% of our client base. 
  • Enjoy the performance of opening, sales and negotiation.
  • Are personally confident and likeable - the phone is your friend and you are not afraid to pick it up and provide consultancy.      You are confident in your ability to describe a marketing concept to a business person. You love attending events and meeting people. 
  • Enjoy reading people, understanding what they need, and are able to deliver your solutions in language they understand.
  • Enjoy communicating with influence.

If you have at least 5 years in some form of media sales, and a proven track record for innovation we would love to hear from you.  Experience with digital advertising is essential.  Experience in niche or B2B markets would be an advantage.  This role is WFH and is based in Melbourne VIC.
