The Business Development Lead will be responsible for the determination and execution of New Business & Upsell strategies with regard to Australian Summer of Tennis hospitality (United Cup, Australian Open and Australian Open Series events), as well as any other product deemed suitable as time develops. This includes, but is not limited to, seating, dining and other food and beverage packages. The Business Development Lead person will provide support to the Business Development and wider teams to ensure all clients are serviced and opportunities are realised quickly.
About the role
Reporting into the Sales Manager of existing business, in this role you will:
Assist in delivering the Sales Strategy for hospitality including Superboxes, ticketing, packaging of hospitality, development of new concepts, sales of all hospitality products
Work with the BD Team in developing new business in the hospitality sector by region and by business industry
Presentation to key stakeholders and decision makers within the sales targets identified to deliver proposals
Create a strategy to communicate to all Premium Experience customers for renewals stages
Develop networks and relationships to promote commercial growth
Leadership and development of team members
Drive a culture that embraces open and honest communication and feedback, helping others apply learnings and continuously develop
Other duties as requested or required by Management
About you
What you will bring to the role:
Demonstrated Sales Experience (2+ years) ideally including within corporate hospitality for a sport / entertainment events
A high level of skill in communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds, face to face, by telephone and in written reports, submissions, and general correspondence is essential; telesales experience preferred
Thorough experience in writing and preparing presentations, briefs and proposals to corporate customers for high end investments
A thorough understanding of sponsorship sales and customer solutions for sports right holders is highly advantageous
Proven ability to meet deadlines and a good eye for detail including meticulous administration skills and systems management (essential)
Alignment with the Tennis values of Excellence, Humility, Collaboration and Imagination
You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
