Due to our ongoing growth, an opportunity has arisen for a driven and self-motivated person to join our team in a unique Business Development role.
This role is diverse with a key focus on fostering customer relations and enabling business growth opportunities. A typical day may see you on the road doing cold call sales, delivering training and tastings, equipment maintenance, account management and working along side the General Manager.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Account Management - nurture and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, be their go-to person and conduct regular visits
Maximising opportunities for business growth with existing accounts including increasing range at retail outlets
Identifying, attracting and acquiring new customers
Conduct or coordinate tastings with new customers
Train baristas on the nuances of our coffee along with improving workflow and equipment maintenance
Machine installs
Coordinate loan equipment servicing and assist with troubleshooting any equipment issues that may arise
Maintain records, develop/evolve existing sales docs & CRM reporting
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of coffee, coffee equipment and industry inc hospitality
A moderate level of coffee equipment and equipment troubleshooting
Sales and account management – min 2yrs
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Exception planning, organisational and management skills
Ability to work in a team but also independently
Experience in CRMs and software knowledge
Current Driver’s license (essential)
Being based on the Gold Coast is ideal but not essential - can be Northern Rivers based
Extra Details:
This is a full time role with work hours usually being 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
You will be required to work at our roastery 1-2 day per week with the remainder being on the road with a small portion of working from home.
The successful candidate will receive full training at our roastery for the first few weeks, requiring attendance five days per week initially.
