Based in our Perth Head Office, a new opportunity for a dedicated Business Development Manager to drive sales and expansion in MineARC System’s new Active Helmet Product. Here at MineARC we feel this product will revolutionise the safety standards in the mining and industrial sectors and help prevent silicosis. You will be instrumental in driving sales in the early stages of this product’s release and will be required to present to government departments and large mining organisations. We are looking for someone with strong sales acumen who is passionate about safety and innovation.
The Role:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Prospecting and securing new business both locally and internationally and performing competitive research.
- Maintaining and building customer relationships and developing and evaluating business cases for new business targets.
- Achieving budgeted sales and providing revenue forecasts.
- Developing and implementing strategic business plans for the business.
- Updating and maintaining the company CRM.
- Managing the end-to-end sales process from the quoting to commissioning.
- Travel as required to clients’ sites, expos, and conferences.
- Ensuring that the products sold are in accordance with company specifications and QA/QC.
- Working closely with our CIO on strategy and product development.
- Liaising directly with our engineering, marketing, and production teams.
- Working through cold and warm leads to ensure all sales opportunities have been identified.
- Providing quality customer service and successful mapping customer needs.
- Staying up to date with industry trends locally and internationally.
About You:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Development Manager or Account Manager.
- A proven track record for success in exceeding sales targets and successfully growing market share.
- Market knowledge and experience in selling and supplying equipment across science, research, tertiary or agriculture industries.
- A strong sales background and the ability to influence major stakeholders and decision makers in an organisation.
- Ability to present to all levels within an organisation including senior management.
- Ability to present to at seminars, conferences, and corporate functions.
- Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong networking, negotiation, and social skills with the ability to translate client needs into complex solutions.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required and a valid Australian drivers license.
- A flexible mindset and the ability to adapt to a changing market environment.
- Strong business planning and sales strategy skills.
- Competency in the MS Suite of programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
