Step into the role of Business Development Manager (BDM) and become a pivotal part of our client’s innovative venture to revolutionize automotive diagnostics in Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Mascot, our client’s joint venture is at the forefront of providing advanced remote OEM diagnostic solutions and services to the automotive industry. The office is close to the train station, but this role comes with secure parking.

This role has a travel requirement and entails regular travel within Australia/ and New Zealand.

As the BDM your primary objective is to fuel product growth and expand the customer base. This entails cultivating relationships and partnerships across various sectors, including insurance, collision repair, and automotive maintenance.

We're seeking individuals with a robust background in insurance or collision repair industries, coupled with a proven track record of surpassing sales targets. Exceptional communication skills, strategic acumen, and a deep understanding of automotive technical solutions are required.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive sales and revenue generation by fostering strategic relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target sectors.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and negotiate contracts.
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits to potential clients.
  • Provide exceptional client support and account management services.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and competitors.
  • Develop plans to expand our customer base and partnerships.
  • Planning and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic clients.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Technical understanding of diagnostics and ADAS calibration.
  • Strong track record in Business Development or sales.
  • Existing relationships within the industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
Experience required:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience selling/providing account management within the automotive repair and insurance sector.
  • Professional development in technical and business relevant industry.
  • Tertiary education or professional development in a relevant industry will be highly regarded.
