We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who preferably has a background in transport and/or logistics to identify, shape, and secure new Business Development opportunities and growth prospects for Royans. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will help to create a new pipeline of opportunities by visiting clients, identifying their needs, and developing Royan’s value proposition. This position covers the NSW Region.
Duties and key responsibilities include:
- Developing new business opportunities and managing our existing customer base
- Establish, develop and manage customer relationships
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, and maintain CRM data
- Develop and implement outbound sales and Business Development strategies, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company
- Develop and maintain business networks, work closely with delivery partners and attend industry events
- Motivate and manage a team, track performance, and report metrics
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with the drive, energy and motivation to form part of our national sales team. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
Experience, skills and qualifications
- Working experience with sales techniques
- Transport and/or logistics experience an advantage
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Broad business and commercial experience and knowledge
- Ability to establish rapport and build business relationships across multiple layers within an organisation
- Organisation and time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical ability and numerical confidence
