KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Canvassing prospective vendors - primarily in the Hunter region
  • Increasing the seller base in all sales streams
  • Lead generation and management to set up meeting opportunities
  • Administrative follow up including but not limited to proposals, agency agreements, GID forms, emails, and reporting
  • Negotiating business contracts
  • Assessment of assets for viability before accepting the job
  • Completed valuation of assets as required
  • Conducting regular visits and calls to an existing client base to nurture relationships
  • Respond to all referrals of unsold items post-auction
ABOUT YOU
  • Strong corporate network in Sydney metro area
  • Business Development experience in the Mining Industry
  • Current industry knowledge and experience, coupled with sound knowledge and working network within trucks, machinery and motor vehicles, advantageous if experienced across one or more in earthmoving, mining, marine, and aviation; awareness of logistics and transport coordination
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT role
  • Proven track record in consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets and providing a consistently high level of customer service across multiple levels
  • Strong negotiation skills and a passion for effective problem solving
  • A sales mentality with an ability to cold call multiple opportunities on a daily basis
  • Ability to develop positive, constructive and forward-thinking working relationships
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Experience with Salesforce would be highly desirable but not essential
