The role
Reporting to the Managing Director and the General Manager, this high-profile position plays an integral role in the continued growth and success of Shellby Power. The successful applicant will provide exceptional stakeholder management and will continue to cultivate existing relationships with highly valued customers. They will actively invest in new customer relations and identify new opportunities for Shellby Power’s continued growth.
What you will be doing
- Cultivate and maintain sound business relationships. This will require that you develop a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements and pursue continuous improvement of the current relationship models.
- Develop business proposals for existing and new customers.
- Act as a representative of Shellby Power, by participating in forums related to the industry, attending conferences, and participating in client meetings and discussions.
- Identifying opportunities to build new business relationships - develop new business partners and identify future opportunities for growth.
- Supporting Shellby Power promotional activities (i.e. networking and social media) and furthering the good name and image of Shellby Power.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of business processes, procedures, and systems.
- Report customer feedback and take actions to resolve any issues raised through customer complaints.
- Conduct yourself professionally and appropriately at all times, in accordance with relevant Shellby Power policy and legislation, including OHS and Quality policies.
What you will bring:
- Previous success in a similar role.
- A passion for customer relations, and an aptitude for understanding customers and their needs, and for building and maintaining ongoing and mutually beneficial relationships.
- The drive and initiative to continue to seek out new business opportunities and achieve measurable results.
- A curiosity and appetite to learn and develop a deep understanding of the industry, as well as the products and services offered by Shellby Power.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups of people in verbal and written forms (e.g. bid/business proposal writing)
- Experienced negotiation skills.
- Experience with marketing and media methods and tools.
- A commitment to HSEQ, and the willingness to identify and report risks in relation to quality and safety.
- Experience within the diesel and gas industry will be highly regarded.
