BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Brisbane

Our flagship product, the Tru Blu K9000® DIY Dog Wash, stands as a testament to quality manufacturing, responsive business-to-business trading, and an unwavering focus on end-user experiences.

In line with our continuing growth, we are expanding our operational bases from the heart of Warrnambool to now also include a modern distribution hub in Nundah, Brisbane. To support this expansion, we're on the lookout for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to lead our Brisbane operations and support our global growth.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will service our customers throughout Brisbane and beyond utilising your expertise in trades or mechanics to assist prospective customers by providing product recommendations, technical guidance, and conducting site visits to to determine specific requirements and suitablity. In doing this, you will be at the forefront of driving customer experience and sales growth for K9000 Industries. 

We are looking for a down to earth operator who can bring with them mechanical aptitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a trade or industry background that allows them to expertly diagnose product needs and issues with our growing customer base. The ability to ‘on the spot’ support customers with technical advice and support including pre, during and post installation will be important to your success in this role.

Armed with these attributes, the capacity to quickly develop product knowledge, and a great way with our customers, you will lead the charge in identifying and converting new market opportunities, both nationally and internationally.  You will demonstrate your suitability by having previously transitioned your trade and technical abilities into a Business Development, Sales or similar role where you have proven results in sales growth and the achievement of targets.

Based from our Nundah warehouse facility in Brisbane, experience in warehousing and or stock management would, whilst not essential, be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively pursuing new business and sales opportunities whilst building and maintaining customer relationships, and adding value to the customer experience by applying your trade and/or technical skills to advise and support customers (pre, during and post installation);
  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing customers, including distributors relationship management;
  • Developing growth strategies and plans to proactively grow existing business and identify new market/sales opportunities, leading to the achievement of sales targets and KPIs;
  • Researching and prospecting customers, responding to incoming leads and working leads through to sale including preparation and follow-up of quotations;
  • Troubleshooting and advising on product suitability based on customer site, investment and other requirements;
  • Conducting regular and productive site visits to key customers;
  • Streamlining pre and post-sales support and excellence in product maintenance and customer service to ensure happy customers;
  • Most importantly of all, contributing to a culture where it is evident to anyone entering the business that our people really enjoy coming to work.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Trade qualified (mechanical, electrical, plumbing or other relevant technical fields) that enables you to develop excellent working product knowledge, trouble shooting capacity and the ability to understand and work to customer needs;
  • Experience in a Business Development or sales role with proven track-record in growing customer base, brand awareness and meeting and/or exceeding sales targets;
  • Strength in relationship building including excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Well developed skills in negotiation, sales, and providing fit for purpose customer solutions with sound conversion rates;
  • Competence using Microsoft Office products, and also utilising a CRM system;
  • Communication skills that demonstrate respect, engaged listening, and the capacity to skillfully negotiate agreements with contractors, suppliers, and employees;
  • Whilst not essential, warehousing or stock management experience would be advantageous;
  • Current valid Driver’s Licence
