We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Representative within the
Construction or Heavy Industrial industry.
About You
We require a dynamic, tenacious, skilled salesperson to join our team.

The Sales Representative will serve as the interface between Ausdirect and our existing client base as well as onboarding new clients.
The Sales Representative will be knowledgeable about our product range, brands and all services offered by Ausdirect.
The Role
As the Business Development Specialist, you will:
• Establish relationships with new and existing clients
• Service existing clients and manage project requirements
• Develop relationships with key accounts to maximise revenue
• Generate leads, undertake cold calling, and qualify leads
• Source and secure new business opportunities for Ausdirect through open
tenders and existing industry contacts
• Present proposals at client sites and negotiate sales.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of your territory and the
material supply and opportunities for access equipment and machinery for
hire
• Attend industry functions, such as association events, tradeshows and
conferences and provide feedback and information on market trends in the
development of new business
• Maintain a high level of customer contact and be able to present effectively at
all levels of business
• Quoting for clients’ tenders and live jobs and management of the daily orders
on time and with urgency
• Maintain existing monthly revenue targets and continue to grow the business
through new opportunities
• Weekly reporting and sales forecasting.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will be a suitably experienced salesperson who has the following:
• Proven experience in a similar role in the construction industry
• Preferred existing relationships and contacts in Construction and/or Plant and Machinery with the ability to target key projects / contracts.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advanced relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
• A strong commercial acumen
• A calm and professional approach in conflict management
• Well-developed negotiation and closure skills
• The ability to work autonomously
• A high level of initiative and enthusiasm
• An engaging, energetic, and resilient outlook
• Ability to collaborate, influence and negotiate
• Success in meeting deliverables

• Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of the customer and be able
to address their needs.
• Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build
relationships and network.

• Communications skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product or service to potential customers
