Meka Recruitment is working with a reputable supplier to the concrete and waterproofing industries. This company is a global brand that has exclusive rights in Australia. Due to the brand and growth nationally, they are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join their team and grow the market share in your territory.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Ability to identify new opportunities with new and existing clients through upselling
- Great negotiation skills as you will need to close off deals and build rapport with existing and potential clients
- Cold call via phone and on site to generate leads and attend meetings to showcase the products
- Present to the product range to prospective and existing clients with recommendations as to what product would achieve the best results for the projects
- Attend networking events to increase the brand awareness and market within your territory
- Travel interstate when required as there will be times when you will have national meetings
- Work with the team to win clients on a national basis
The ideal person will:
- Proven ability to close a sale and identify new opportunities
- Great communication skills as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Able to make cold calls on the phone and in person on site
- Thrive on exceeding client expectations
- Have a positive attitude and able to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of the concrete and waterproofing industry is an advantage
