As a Business Development Manager in the Commercial and Industrial Customer Team, you will be at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution and will be responsible for delivering high value sales outcomes of energy solutions (primarily Solar, Batteries and EV Chargers) in the Commercial and Industrial sector.
In this role, you won't just meet customer expectations you'll be at the forefront of the Commercial and Industrial sector by owning all stages of the sales funnel, building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and ultimately delivering quality sales to exceed targets. You will be working closely with various internal stakeholders including sales, engineering, delivery and asset management.

What you'll be doing:
Developing detailed understanding of customer needs to articulate the value proposition and inform the development of profitable technical and commercial solutions.
Preparing proposals and pricing for opportunities using internal tools and working with cross-functional teams when required.
Developing new opportunities and actively managing a pipeline of business sales opportunities to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets in terms of revenue and gross margin as well as keeping abreast of industry developments, opportunities and threats.
Working with Legal, Commercial and Administration staff as required to refine contract terms and conditions on a deal by deal or customer by customer basis.
Effectively tracking and communicating with management, the status of sales opportunities, client activity and other regular reporting.
What you'll bring:
Experience in solution selling with deal values in excess of $1,000,000 per transaction in similar sales roles, ideally within the Solar energy sector or other large B2B solutions-oriented organization
Demonstrated experience in solution selling in a sales role, as well as an understanding of the energy market and energy solution space especially in technologies such as solar, batteries and energy efficiency.
A hunter mentality with demonstrated success in developing and executing sales plans and record of achieving sales quotas in a B2B environment.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations for clients, and experience working with CRM solutions to report and track pipeline progress.
Excellent professional communication skills with Senior Executives of commercial or industrial companies, coupled with strong writing skills, and immediate or advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Self-motivated, achievement oriented, well disciplined, task focused with a strong sense of timeliness.
