Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Business Development Manager role is integral to our firm's continued success. The successful candidate will be tasked with devising and executing Business Development strategies and initiatives to maintain our position as a market leader. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual with a background in sales, ideally within the electrical or building/construction industries.
The successful candidate will handle warm-to-hot leads while focusing on new Business Development, supported by tools and guidance from the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Calling up to 150 leads per day
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research and prospecting.
- Provide product demonstrations to potential new clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and new technologies.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance and market trends to senior management.
- Follow up on incoming leads and convert them into sales.
- Conduct research to identify and pursue new business prospects.
- Communicate effectively with leads and potential clients throughout the sales process.
- Assist in generating and delivering proposal documents.
- Perform basic marketing tasks, including email marketing and social media management.
- Achieve minimum KPIs & maximise sales opportunities.
About you:
- At least 3 years of experience in a sales or Business Development role, preferably in the electrical, engineering or building/construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian market and a proven track record of developing new business opportunities and meeting KPIs and targets
- Ambitious and motivated to succeed.
- The ability to cross-sell on other opportunities, products and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A passion for innovation and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- A hunger to learn and be part of a fun and high-performing team.
- Effective use of software packages including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with a CRM platform would be highly favoured.
- Positive attitude and passion about helping customers while also achieving your targets.
