CGC have partnered with a key client for the recruitment of a Business Development Manager/Market Intelligence Specialist for a client based in the Perth. The role is permanent, and interviews will be taking place immediately. Please read the below and apply ASAP if you have interested in the role.
 
   Position Objective:
 
The key focus areas of the Business Development Manager and Market Intelligence Specialist is to:

  1. Drive the growth of the client’s business with Customers, Distributors, Agents, and Traders
  2. Create Market Intelligence reports using multiple sources of information to build strategy and competitive advantage.
  3. Assist with monthly sales analysis and provide back-up support and assistance to the Sales Operations Support Specialist, including leave coverage.
As a Business Development Manager, you will:

Delight our Distributors, Agents, and Traders through providing sales, marketing, and logistics support, and assisting them to grow their business by selling the clients products.
Build and maintain customer relationships with new and existing customers to identify growth opportunities.
Work with both customers and production to refine existing products to suit customers’ needs and help develop new products that meet the requirements of new markets.
As the Market Intelligence Specialist, you will, gather and collate competitive information, market information, as well other sources, and generating strategic options for discussion to improve the client’s competitive advantage, sales growth, and profitability.
In addition, you will be required to support the CSO with sales reports and provide back up to the Sales Operations Support Specialist as needed. This includes completing monthly sales analysis and maintaining an up to date working knowledge of reporting systems so you can act as a back–up to cover holidays and other absences.

 Reporting

  • Generates Market Intelligence, business insights and reports on a regular cycle.               
  • Supports the Sales Operations Support Specialist
 
Communication
  • Provide reliable & Timely communication to Distributors, Agents, and Traders
  • Liaises with marketing on creating data to build market plans.
  • Clearly conveys ideas and information, appropriate to the target audience.
  • Takes onboard employee and management feedback to refine communication
  Business Development
  • Create and implement strategy for growth in the region.
  • Work with existing and new customers to identify and develop opportunities for additional supply or new product opportunities.
  • Work to ensure all regional Business Development targets are met or exceeded.
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision makers at targeted customers.
  • Maintain records in company CRM database with regards to account contacts, leads, opportunities, proposals and forecasts, and report on these as required!
  • Maintain regular contact and conduct field sales calls on existing and prospective customers and identify and develop strategic accounts.
  • Create winning proposals in response to enquiries and leads within target segments.
 
Marketing & Sales
 
  • Maintain Industry participation through related forums and organisations.
  • Gather market and competitive price data to assist in pricing analysis and strategy for targets accounts.
  • Be actively involved in the development and delivery of promotional activities, providing feedback from prospects to facilitate the refinement of promotion.
  • Prepare the Monthly Sales Meeting report and other reports as needed.
 
Experience Needed
 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, including analytic functions
  • Proven track record in converting B2B sales and bringing in new business.
  • Well developed business acumen
  • Knowledge of supply chain costs and container export processes would be ideal.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Ideally degree qualified in a related discipline or time served.
