FoodByUs is a B2B market-leading wholesale ordering software used by thousands of hospitality suppliers and venues nationwide. We connect these two sides, providing an incredible software experience for both restaurants and suppliers.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Sydney team helping sell our leading software solution to hospitality businesses (restaurants, cafes, bars, caterers, etc.) that are in need of a more streamlined order management solution.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Sales you'll generate leads, pitch them on the FoodByUs platform, explain the benefits of moving to an efficient online order management system, run price comparisons, and ultimately get venues to order everything through FoodByUs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead generation: Identify new buyers, and hospitality businesses (cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, pubs, etc) that would benefit from utilising FoodByUs’ platform as their primary ordering system (we also have an extensive database of existing leads). Strong relationship-building F2F and lead generation are a must
- Sales: Identify the right profile and run the entire sales cycle through to closure. Develop your pipeline through multiple channels, cold calling, door knocking, networking, referrals, etc. Hitting business KPIs and sales targets consistently.
- Handover of accounts: Work with our Key Account Managers to maximize and grow all our Buyer accounts. Hand-hold Buyers until they make their first few orders.
- Participate in making FoodByUs better: Providing valuable feedback to management and other key stakeholders in order to drive better business decisions and outcomes
- Goal-driven and ready to exceed sales targets.
- You will be a proven hunter who is not afraid to cold call and utilise your networks
- Skilled in communication and negotiation, with a knack for closing deals
- You have excellent time management and task-switching capabilities.
- You are a self-starter, and commercially savvy where you possess the ability to excel in both a team-based and autonomous environment.
