Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Business Development manager to join our commercial team in Brisbane.
Job Description
- Quotes for customers accurately and timely
- Ensuring customer retention and drive continuous improvement.
- Developing potential customers by canvassing WA market
- Deliver new business with key prospect customers from named portfolios to achieve growth targets.
- Follow the sales on-boarding guidelines for all new customers.
- Deliver market insights to develop industry specific value propositions for target industry sectors.
- Connect with clients regularly to ensure customer integrity & satisfaction of service.
- Maintain an effective pipeline of new business prospects to achieve period targets.
- Report to the Commercial Manager and all business stakeholders as required.
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships with all cross functional stakeholders including operational, customer service staff and driver, and senior management.
- Establish competitor information profile and report back market findings with commercial proposals.
- Play an active and proactive role in the sales team.
Skills and experience
- Previous sales experience in a similar role preferably in the transport and logistic / supply chain industry is must.
- Passionate, positive and reliable attitude
- Self-motivated, confident and a clear communicator
- Problem solver, flexible, able to adapt to new ways of working.
- Great organisational skills
