We are seeking a driven professional to be a part of and lead this dynamic and committed team of project and design managers for our Northern NSW and wider Australian region Clients.
Our Northern NSW region (between the Central Coast to the NSW/QLD border) offers a comprehensive Project Management capability across all our Markets. Across a diverse array of Clients and all phases of the project lifecycle the team encompasses a variety of Project Management, program management, engineering and construction management services.

Our ideal candidate for this role will be a skilled and experienced leader with an ability to work with a wider group of professionals to build a pipeline of opportunities and projects whilst balancing the technical delivery of project responsibilities with the operational requirements associated with running an eclectic team of Project Management professionals within a large organisation.
You will have strong industry connections and be able to leverage our regional footprint and strong Client connection to further develop and grow GHD's presence and market share across the Northern NSW region and beyond. You must have a commitment to further enhancing strong technical authority with a client-led mindset.
Working with our Operations Manager, Market Leaders and other Business Group Leaders this position is your opportunity to lead a passionate, technically renowned team within a global consultancy. As a senior leader, this role will see you leading the business through:
- Growing a pipeline of work from existing and new Clients
- Providing technical leadership and developing people
- Engaging with clients
- Delivering and/or supporting the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects
- Driving excellence in performance of the team
- Collaborating strongly with other Business Groups and regions, and with the Project and Construction Management Service Line
- Extensive Project Management experience, knowledge and networks in one or more of our Markets. Experience in Energy, Water, Transport and Defence are highly desirable.
- Ability to build a pipeline of opportunities and projects through a high level of market awareness and business development skills with a strong focus on Client engagement. An established network of Client relationships is desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and audiences
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in a multi-disciplinary environment to achieve project and commercial outcomes
- Technical leadership and management of a diverse set of Project Management led projects including strong commercial awareness
- Technical (degree) qualifications and consulting experience in Project Management, engineering and/or design of multidisciplinary projects
