The Opportunity:
With the current manager wanting to step back from the broader responsibility’s with a longer-term view toward retirement, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Business Manager to step in and take the business forward.
The role needs a dynamic, motivated and driven leader who would be excited about leading a small, passionate team in changing how the industry perceives “good service” by delivering over and above today’s status quo.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step up and take on managing a smaller business that has had a fantastic couple of years and holds many top-tier relationships.
This is not your average “Branch Manager” role; you are much more than the person with a key; no, this is your business, answering only to the General Manager.
An average day in this role is much different to most equivalent positions. Our Business Managers spend most of their time coaching staff and engaging with customers to continuously improve our offer to the market.
You choose the path you and your team take toward success. There are very few reporting requirements; we’d prefer you spend your time externally focused on the customer rather than reporting inwardly to anyone else.
Success is entirely up to you; from designing how you pitch our products and your unique sales proposition to how your staff are trained and understand the products, your destiny is in your hands.
The salary package includes a fully maintained company car (or car allowance), phone and laptop. You will benefit directly from your success through an attractive profit share scheme.
About You:
- You will have extensive experience within the Australian wholesale sector, specifically across security and or electrical products to be considered for this management role.
- A passion for business development and account management.
- A strong understanding of P&L, budgeting, forecasting, bids and tenders.
- Vision, drive and the ability to think outside the square.
- A hands-on approach / a willingness to lead from the front or the back of your team.
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- A current class C driver’s licence.
- Must be an Australian / New Zealand resident or citizen. Sponsorship is not offered for this role. (No temporary visas, unfortunately)
If you are a Canberra local or looking to relocate to our nation's capital to take the next step in your career, then this may be the role for you.
