We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.
About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Business Services Manager to join our team as we embark on the next phase of growth at Abergeldie. This is a newly created role which will lead our payroll and accounts payable teams which includes 7 talented Accounts Payable and Payroll professionals (4 in Accounts Payable and 3 in Payroll). You will also have the opportunity to lead some exciting transformation projects that will help to shape our future.
We have been on and are continuing on an exciting growth trajectory and we are growing our finance team to ensure we are set up for success for the next phase of growth. This role will focus on driving process improvements, simplification and automation initiatives aimed at optimising efficiency and improving customer service levels.
This role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane (with some travel required), and we are open to considering flexible work options. Let us know in your application what you are looking for.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
You will have extensive experience in both payroll and accounts payable, ideally within the construction, engineering, or related sectors with experience working in large and complex organisations. You will be an experienced hands-on leader who is passionate about growing and developing their team and creating a cohesive and collaborative environment. You will have experience working with various ERP and Payroll systems; experience using IFS is advantageous.
We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and loves to challenge the status quo. You will always be looking at ways to streamline and automate and have a passion for continuous improvement.
