Business Services Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Business Services Manager to join this incredible academic publisher. In this role, you will play a key role in managing the organisation's administrative and finance functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and contributing to continual improvement of business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to establish and implement efficient internal finance practices.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate bookkeeping.
- Manage a team of administrative and finance staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
- Manage all facility maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
- Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and external service providers.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive innovation to improve workflow efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Finance qualifications mandatory, with a qualification in business administration or a related field highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
- Change management skills.
- Experience working with accounting systems and software packages, especially Xero.
- Experience leading a team.
- Sound knowledge of financial and payroll processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics software.
