Butcher / Apprentice / Knife Hand

Morningside Meat Market is a large retail Butchery. Located in Morningside, Brisbane, our company is Australian owned and operated. 

We are seeking a Butcher, Apprentice or Knife Hand to join the team who shares a passion for the meat industry and the butchering trade. 

We are offering extremely good rate of pay (well above the industry average for the right person - we will pay you TOP DOLLAR!!!!!), $40+ for the right person.

The role is FLEXIBLE, you can choose your own hours and days and you don't need to have a qualification, just a bright & bubbly personality with excellent customer service, determination and passion to succeed and we can teach you the rest, as we will provide on the job training.

The only thing we would love from you is to be reliable and eager. 

Skills and Experience

• Production Assistant/Butcher - preferred but not essential - apprentices are encouraged to apply
• Customer Service skills
• Ability to work as an allrounder when required
• A strong desire to add value to our workplace

Key Responsibilities

• Selecting and preparing meat products by cutting, trimming and portioning
• Food or meat handling, preparation and packing
• Weighing, processing and packaging various meat products / orders
• Keeping records and inventory control
• Stock rotation
• Operating meat cutting equipment and tools
• Display widow preparations for retail display 
• Maintain Food Safety & Occupational Health and Safety Standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
