Buyers Assistant

Generation Outcast Clothing is one of Australia's fastest growing online fashion companies, exclusively designing the hottest new trends in the market. Based in Mermaid Waters Australia, we’re looking for a highly motivated, creative, and forward thinking Buyers Assistant to join our product and design team.

Main Responsibilities for the role in support of the Buying team:

• Providing analytical and administration support to the Buying Director
• Creating purchase orders weekly and execute any amendments needed based on Supplier communication within 24hrs
• Analysing and helping to manage data across Inventory Planner, Style Arcade and Monday ensuring data integrity 
• Helping to execute markdowns when necessary 
• Helping to manage supplier liaison - with clear communication including costing negotiations, lead times and late order follow up
• Comp shop analysis and creation of mood boards for key events Globally
• Generate sales reports and assisting with the analysis
• Communicate observations, ideas, and recommendations to the Buying Director
• Working closely with the Buying Director to identify and develop best selling styles into new colours
• Identify customer trends based off sales history and market research
• Quarterly review of the size curve performance
• Building strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support to the Supply Chain and Design team as necessary
• Working closely with Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure critical path is on track and all data is up to date

Some things we are looking for in an Buying Assistant:

• Proven experience working in a similar role within the retail industry
• Previous experience with apparel
• Strong Administration experience
• Proven experience and intermediate to strong knowledge of excel
• A passion for the product that is balanced with commercial acumen
• Able to communicate at all levels
• Ability to manage tight deadlines
• Show initiative to contribute to a team in order to grow the brand
• Flexible in your approach
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
