About the Role
Bankstown Sports Club is looking for a dedicated and motivated Café Manager to completely manage the day to day operation of the busy Cornerstone Café located within the club. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager this role will work heavily in the operation providing effective support and leadership for the Café team. To succeed in this role; you must have leadership skills, exceptional communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities include;
- Managing day to day operations of Cornerstone Café
- Manage inventory/stock control
- Keeping up to date with events occurring within the club to make sure staffing levels are at an optimum service level.
- Create front of house rosters whilst liaising with the rostering team to ensure rosters meet service requirements and are efficient.
- Providing support, leadership and overseeing staff performance
- Working with relevant chef/s to develop new food and beverage offerings
- Support recruitment in the hiring process for Cornerstone Café
- Drive ongoing training to ensure staff are driven and always improving.
- Monitoring and keeping track of service complaints and feedback from customers to ensure satisfaction with both food and service
- Ensuring health and food safety standards and regulations are followed, as well as the Clubs industry standards
Essential Criteria:
- Café Team Leader or Café Supervisor experience (preferred)
- Confident in delivering instructions and giving team briefings
- Ability to provide an effective approach to Customer Service delivery
- Strong work ethic
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Exceptional conflict resolution techniques
- Must have RSA and RCG qualifications
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work rotational weekends and evenings
- Exceptional presentation and professional demeanour
