AddressJoin our close-knit and lively team at our beloved independent family bakery in Western Sydney! We're currently seeking a dependable and skilled Cake Decorator to join us on a casual basis for three days a week—Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. As our Cake Decorator, you'll play a crucial role in creating our cakes from scratch, as well as icing and decorating cakes, cupcakes, and an array of bakery treats. Attention to detail is crucial as you'll be following specific decorating guidelines. You'll enjoy 22.5 hours of work each week, with an hourly rate of $25 - $30 plus Super (adjusted based on your skills). Working hours are from 9 am to 5 pm. In addition to decorating cakes, you may also assist in various roles such as supporting our bakers and helping out in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Decorating a variety of cakes while adhering to specific guidelines.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth operations and timely order delivery.
- Managing cake orders.
- Preparing pastry fillings.
- Assisting with other bakery duties as needed, including kitchen cleaning such as dishwashing and equipment cleaning, sanitation, and aiding in other areas of food preparation and storage.
- Reporting to the manager at the end of each shift to track production progress.
Requirements:
- Ability to deal with the repetitive nature of a high-volume, fast-paced production kitchen and maintain the highest quality & service standards.
- Demonstrated experience as a Cake Decorator.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity.
- Reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines & daily targets.
