Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and customer orders.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and creativity, using various techniques such as icing, piping, and fondant modelling.
- Ensure high standards of quality, presentation, and taste in all pastry and Cake products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the pastry kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation of pastry ingredients and supplies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Cake Decorator in a professional kitchen or bakery setting.
- Proficiency in pastry and Cake decoration techniques, including piping, fondant work, and sugar crafting.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in designing and decorating cakes and pastries.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, including day and night shifts.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Food safety and hygiene certification is preferred.
