Our client is a well-respected and reputable government organization that are well known across NSW. They believe in recruiting the best of the best and provide their staff with a friendly work environment with supportive management.
They are seeking a dedicated Call Centre Operator to support the day-to-day co-ordination and operation of the business unit. Our client is looking for someone to join their team in Sydney Olympic Park ASAP!
The initial contract will be for 3 months with strong possibility to extend thereafter.
Please note that this position will require the successful individual to be working 10-hour shifts on a rotating roster operating 24/7.
The Job…..
Reporting to a Team Leader, in this exciting contract opportunity you will be responsible for:
- Taking inbound calls and recording staff absences in multiple systems.
- Processing day-of shift absences and rostering staff to cover those changes.
- Providing superior administrative support to the rostering, deployment and HR teams. Including data entry into the rostering system.
- Ensuring all shift changes are entered in a prompt, efficient and thorough manner.
- Communicating with staff across all levels of the organisation over the phone, and in person.
- This position will require staff to work shift work across a rotating roster that operates 10 hours per day, 24/7.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualities and experience:
- Must be available to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.
- Minimum 12 months of experience in a high-volume contact centre position.
- Experience utilising Excel is preferred.
- Top-tier attention to detail and data entry skills.
- Amazing customer service skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to stay focused in a busy, fast paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously.
