An exciting opportunity exists for a Campaign Account Executive to join Medium Rare’s energetic and fast-growing branded content studio, Rare Creative. We started in 2019 as a small native content team and have quickly transformed into a full-service creative studio, producing content for Medium Rare publications, our clients’ owned channels and wider external marketing campaigns.

The joy of this role is in the variety. You’ll traffic and assist in the implementation of large, cross-channel content campaigns for some of Australia’s top brands (including Qantas Airways, Qantas Frequent Flyer, David Jones), their partners (including Tourism Australia, Destination NSW, American Express and Airbnb) and a growing list of campaign clients (American Express Centurion, Hays Recruitment and Furi Knives).

As well as work-flow management, invoicing and team admin, you’ll get the chance to work closely with clients and help shape content concepts alongside our creative team. This means working across print, digital, social and video, while supporting the Content and Events Campaign Manager in producing premium events and experiences.

This is a hybrid role, based in our Sydney office but with the opportunity to work part of your week remotely.


What’s the role?

  • Work with multiple teams (creative, sales, strategy, video and research) to ensure the smooth implementation of large, cross-platform content campaigns – ensuring each component is delivered on deadline and to budget and KPIs. Identify potential roadblocks related to budgets, resources and timelines and effectively communicate any issues.
  • Develop and follow timelines across multiple concurrent projects. Take stewardship of work-flow and content management systems and ensure they are used correctly by the team.
  • Track performance throughout campaigns to ensure results are on track against KPIs. Analyse results and build a bank of data to be shared with the team and in post-campaign reports for clients.
  • Assist with the onboarding and processing of invoices for contributors and financial reporting across the team.
  • Assist with event delivery from end to end, including site visits, meetings, talent, run sheets, promotion, logistics and financials/invoicing.
  • Be the conduit between the Rare Creative team and Rare Studios – our in-house video and audio department. Facilitate pre-production meetings, carefully communicate changes and ensure teams follow the process for smooth delivery.
  • Assist the Rare Creative art director in the organisation and execution of photo shoots and manage contracts/supplier agreements when required.
  • We’re looking for a go-getter with a passion for content. While this is primarily an account management role, we’re looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and get involved in content when required. It might be researching travel secrets for a digital article, finding must-click pics for social media or unearthing the coolest new restaurants for our next event. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in all aspects of the content creation process.

Who you are:

  • You have experience in account service, work-flow management or producing at an agency or publisher.
  • An understanding of how to work with large, premium brands would be beneficial.
  • You have demonstrated experience in trafficking and are comfortable taking a leadership role managing campaigns on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ability to plan and follow timelines for multiple concurrent projects is essential.
  • You’re proactive and take a solutions-driven approach to conversations with stakeholders. You love to talk to clients and pride yourself on exceptional service, while also balancing the workloads of internal staff.
  • Knowledge of the content creation process (across print, digital, social, video, events) would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of social platforms, analytics, HTML and email newsletter technology would also be very highly regarded.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • You’re financially savvy and have an understanding of invoicing and account keeping processes.
  • You have a genuine love of learning. You can master work-flow and accounts systems and share your learning with the team.
