The Role
A rewarding opportunity has become available for a Buildings Maintenance professional to join our team as a Buildings Maintenance Officer.
The opportunity will see you Carry out programmed and responsive inspections of Building Facilities and Built Structures such as Playgrounds to identify and record asset defects and to issue work requests to get the defects rectified.

 

*This opportunity will be offered on a permanent full-time basis
 

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Undertake defect identification inspections of Buildings and other Built Structures
  • Undertake inspections of buildings to verify successful delivery of Buildings Essential Services
  • Collect asset data and information as required 
  • Assist with site access to contractors, consultants and or utility authorities as required
  • Investigate customer complaints regarding relevant assets 
  • Undertake minor hands on maintenance works if practically possible to secure an asset until maintenance works are carried out by trade staff
  • Utilise mobile data recording technologies to record asset inspection data 
  • Undertake work in a safe manner completing risk assessments and complying with safe work method statements

You will have:

  • Technical qualification in building trades such as electrical, plumbing or carpentry at TAFE Certificate level or equivalent international technical qualifications
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Experience in facility inspections 
  • Experience in identifying asset related defects and or faults and propose remedial actions 
  • Experience in implementing maintenance repair works 
  • Experience in using modern computer technologies 
  • Experience in working independently and achieving required outcomes.

 

The salary range for this opportunity commences at $72,474 (Grade E, Step 1) + Car Allowance + 11% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
