What you'll be doing:
An exciting opportunity is now available to join the Cardiac Diagnostics team in a Permanent Full time role located at Nepean Hospital.
This imperative role will see you provide safe and efficient cardiac tests to patients/clients of Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District and ensure promotion of best practices are adopted and maintained in delivery of tests.
At all times you will effectively manage resources relevant to the service to act as an advocate for the specific needs of all patient/clients including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to patient/client undergoing specialised tests. You will maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical Cardiac Physiologist practice, adherence to the policies and standards of Cardiac Services within Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District and provide support and education to fellow Cardiac Physiologists.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection criteria to be addressed: * Hold a Bachelor of Science Degree
- Ability to perform and analyse 12-lead ECGs
- Recent demonstrated practical experience in a Cardiac Investigation Unit
- Demonstrate willingness for continual education
- Participate in a rotational on-call Primary PCI roster for Cardiac Catheter lab and be in a close proximity of the nominated hospital to be able to respond appropriately within a reasonable timeframe if called upon
